My Morning Routines after 1 year and 2 years

Because I have been asked repeatedly , “How do you do this, physically?”, I have created now three videos. I have added the Counter Routine after 2 years, since it has been updated substantially. I also have a new pill routine, but I need to get to that also.

See WHY I decided to undertake this entire process

This is WHY I am doing it !

The first video shows what I do every morning at my breakfast counter. The pomegranate juice, cranberry juice, and flaxseed are stored in the refrigerator. Everything else is stored in my kitchen cabinets.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, and this is ONLY MY STORY. This is not a recommendation to do anything. See your Doctor and take their recommendations with respect to your medical well-being. This is only my story.

This is only my story. It’s working for me so far, and so I will continue it. I introduce things into my body slowly, one at a time over long periods. My doctors warned me about two things: toxicity and drug interactions. That is why I do this myself carefully, starting with very small amounts and listening to my body for any changes. I am conducting an experiment of one (on myself) because I don’t want to have surgery or radiation. There is no control group, I keep changing the experiment with more things as I find them, so it is impossible to know which items are more or less effective or even counter effective. But I feel I have no alternative at this point and so I take this drastic and risky action on myself and will suffer the consequences or benefits, having no one to blame or thank other than myself. (I reserve the right to thank a bunch of researchers whose published papers guided my actions if my outcome is positive.)

The first thing I did was clean my water. If I were to start all over, I would start here. See Month 0 to see the details of why I thought this was important for myself.

Water Distiller

Then I made sure my air was clean. If starting over, I would do this next. Again, see Month 0 for details of why I thought is was important for myself.

Levoit S400 Air Filter

What follows is what I am currently doing after an entire year of slowly introducing items. If starting over, I would start at Month 0 and do that for a month, then look at Month 1 and do that for month et cetera. I like the idea of introducing these changes slowly and methodically and is how I would do it again if I was starting over. Here is a list of what I am taking, the dosages, and a link to buy them at the time I bought them.

My Daily Routine at my Breakfast counter – Year 1

My choice for pomegranate Juice was this Pomegranaze Brand.  It’s not from concentrate, it’s 100% pomegranate juice, in glass bottles, with nothing added.  Ok it’s a bit sour.  But keep in mind that Pomegranates are the ‘Super Fruit” and have been for over 2,000 years.  The closer the form of the juice is to freshly picked, the better.

I drink 4 to 5 ounces a day.  For me, it’s expensive at 9 to 10 dollars per bottle. At about 34 oz a bottle, I get 7 to 8 days for each bottle and it costs a little over $1 a day.  The short term study that extended PSA doubling times had men drinking 8 ounces a day, and that did lengthen their PSA doubling times. Another long term study showed the same thing.

I store it in a cool place, on the floor of my pantry. I used to put it all in the fridge, but that was taking up too much space.  I like to keep it out of the light also.  Fresh as possible for me.

I keep the current bottle in the fridge.  Fresh is fresh.  When I am down to just one serving in the fridge bottle, I take out the next one and get it cold in the fridge before I have to open it.

I also drink 2 oz of cranberry juice a day.  Have the pomegranate ready to drink, and then drink the cranberry juice.  Use the pomegranate juice to immediately chase away a very tough to drink cranberry juice.

Cranberry juice has high concentrations of good stuff that fights prostate cancer.  You can learn about that elsewhere on this site.  Pomegranate juice never tastes so good as when you drink it right after cranberry juice.

My Daily Routine at my Breakfast counter – Year 2

The new things include 2 heaping teaspoons of Parsley for the Apigenin, Grape Seed Oil, and Rosemary is now ground. The Rapeseed oil was too expensive so I abandoned that. See the details in my Supplies/Ordering tab at the top of the page. The antioxidant levels have completely removed all the edema from my feet and legs, that at times stretched all the way to my knees, maybe beyond. (my diet was also not good). Anyway have a look and see what I am currently doing.

Tip #5

Re-order Early.  I reorder with 1 and a half bottles still on hand. Sometimes the supplier runs low and there is a wait. Sometimes the bottles break and they are shipped back to the supplier.  I have to call Amazon to get a quick refund and then reorder.  So far, 2 of 8 orders had breakage.  If some gets delivered, and some breaks, then I have been able to keep the good bottles for free, and they resend the complete order again. I started ordering 4, but now I order 6.  It’s a little cheaper, and I have to order less frequently.

All Other Pill-based supplements

Here is how I organize all my other pill-based supplements.

My Sunday, once a week, at-the-sink routine

So this is how I am currently doing things day-to-day, and once a week. If I were to start over fresh and I had a site similar to this at my disposal, I would start reading at Month 0 and I WOULD CONSULT MY DOCTOR EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.

Here is a list of what I am taking, the dosages, and a link to buy them at the time I bought them.

Thank you for reading my story. Please make comments below. It helps me think of new and different things. I never know where my next great idea will come from.

  1. What do you use for pomegranate seed oil now? I tried the capsules like linked from your pages, but for whatever reason they always get stuck at the bottom of my throat (and they’re pricey.) I’ve been looking for an alternative, and liquid form seems most practical, but most everything seems targeted for topical use and doesn’t really mentioned if it’s safe to ingest.

    1. I use the caps whenever possible, but you are right they are expensive and not always available. I’m constantly in the hunt for useable pso, and I’m running into the same problem.

    2. I just found a new PSO for less. I’m ordering it now.

  2. Thank you very much for posting this valuable information!!!!!- this is great for the world to see something other than the for-profit treatment narrative and your researched approach is excellent. With Medicare paying, the bandwagon is filled with believers in just getting traditional medical help- not me. I am a believer in trying an alternative approach as you have and been also doing it for a year now- and if my results are not working and I wind up dying of PCa,- so be it.

I changing diet completely, exercising, focused on stress reduction and after reading the results of the NEJM 15 year study to me it’s worth the risk being my own guinea pig as I have no interest in being permanently damaged by a medical procedure. That includes the biopsy which I refuse to have.

I have other health issues to consider as well that I cannot do anything about.
Glad to see your tumor decreased in size so it proves something in the mix is working and I hope for the same result, with much higher PSA.

    1. Hey, I appreciate your encouragement, thank you very much. So refreshing. And yeah, I did the biopsy once, I’m not expecting to do that again with 3 to 4 months of side effects. I try to keep to my diet. I ran out of cranberry there for a while, but someone else suggested Trader Joes and lo and behold, I now have 10 bottles of 32oz each ! And this cranberry is not from concentrate ! So much rare ursolic acid in cranberry juice to go along with dried rosemary leaves and a couple other things ursolic. Not to mention a heaping teaspoon of black pepper for the piperine for 10 times the ursolic acid absorption. Anything instead of radiation, prostate removal, or any method to lower my testosterone.

It was that Oxford Study, as well as a heart-to-heart talk with my PCP where he told me that if he were my age, he might very well do the same thing I am !!!! I’m doing it “My Way”, as the song goes, and it’s starting to look like I have hit on some kind of solution for me, at least for a while. I’m physically better down there than I was a year ago when this all started, so there is also that. Good science to you, my friend, as well as any luck that may come your way.

Do you still take those 6 grams of PSO, now that you take the PSO capsules?

    1. I’ve had such success so far and there is so much research that shows the punicic acid in PSO is so effective against PC that I have kept the dosage high. If my biopsy shows no grade 4 PC, I may move to a syncopated approach of 3 months Ursolic Acid then three months punicic acid. I’m not sure yet. We will see what the Feb 7 biopsy shows.

How does your PSO taste? I bought some and it tastes so disgusting, I gurgle when I take it.

        1. That sound terrible. Mine has a nutty, pleasant smell. I understand that some can go rancid. I keep mine in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.

Will you please share the brand/item?

          2. Here is the sweet stuff.

Here is the not so sweet stuff, which is less expensive.

The are both sold only as a cosmetic, not for internal use,
but I consume it anyway. A risk I am willing to take but
DO NOT RECOMMEND for anyone. Actually I recommend nothing. 🙂
            It is only my story.

How do you make the rosemary leaves into a powder? I tried with a mortar, but it didn’t really work.

    1. I bought this 2 lb dried Rosemary, and ground it up some in my Ninja. The two pounder is very inexpensive, and the grinding is not into a powder. I am trying out this Ground Rosemary. It’s very finely ground. but more expensive.

  5. Amazing story,me too eating tomato sauce, rosemary flowers and pomegranate juice plus i drinking essiac tea and my diet is mostly vegeterian only pleasure i left is few glases of wine from time to time.

    1. Good luck with your plan !

Hey, I would like to know how you are doing? Better and better, I hope. I’ve missed reading you. Guess you’re busy with summertime projects, etc.

I’d really be interested in learning more about your diet. The breakfast counter routine, is that first thing, i.e., on an empty stomach, before tea or coffee?

And then is that all you do for breakfast? if so, how do you get an adequate amount of protein?

Looks like I am beginning the journey and am avoiding meat, eggs, dairy and pretty much all processed foods. I have been including fish several times a week as I had been feeling so run-down and listless; this, I attributed to the scant amount of protein I had been consuming.

Yep, when I added it all up — rosemary, cranberry and pomegranate juice, pepper, flaxseed, broccoli, cauliflower, pumpkin, bell peppers, tomatoes and tomato paste, tofu, nuts and various other healthy fruits and vegetables, the total was not much more than 30 – 40 grams of protein a day. And don’t we need closer to 100 grams?

Aside from fish, I recently began including peanut butter, sesame seeds and sesame paste, and more soy milk. Think I am feeling a bit more up and at’em. Today, at least.

It would be great to hear from you. Wish you the very best. Thanks, James

    1. Hi James – I’m doing great. No symptoms and feeling better than ever, thanks to my diet. I am cutting a few pounds during my summer over in Baguio, The Philippines. We are property shopping.

The Morning Routine happens on an empty stomach. I want the PCa to deal with it directly. I see to getting enough protein by adding tofu to the soups and salads I eat. So far, so good. I stay away from all meats, eggs, and dairy to remove IGH-1 (Insulin Growth Factor 1) to discourage all cell growth. (see the How Not to Die book )

You are encouraging me to create an August Post. I need to update everyone on how I am feeling. And I want to be sure to mention the Reverse Osmosis Machine I am using now instead of the Distiller. It has several benefits over the Distiller.

All the Best, James. I’m off to start the August file. Maybe I can get a post out shortly

Thanks so much for the response. Glad to hear that you are doing so well and really seem to be in such great spirits.

Ii’m sure it’s encouraging for all of us out here.

I’ve heard lots of positive things about the Philippines — from a retired buddy living there and from the reading of a good many posts on retirement forums.

I’ll be looking forward to the August files. Thank you again for taking the time to write.

    Enjoy your travels.

    Best to you and yours,

    James

    hi Patrick,
just wondering if you have ever looked at any research regarding the effectiveness of soursop and pumpkinseeds. Thank you.

    1. Hi Khogali,

I have not looked previously, but a first glance, both soursop and pumpkinseeds show up as having PCa antiproliferation properties. Here is a summary article from 2024 on soursop. Three of the five major PCa cell lines are mentioned showing evidence of antiproliferation. https://foundryjournal.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/7.FJ23C416.pdf

I have more work to do on the pumpkin seeds. Thanks for the great question and the new information.

      Patrick
