Tips and Tricks for Using Pomegranate Juice

It’s not from concentrate, 100% pomegranate juice, in glass bottles, with nothing added.  Ok, it’s a bit sour.  But keep in mind that Pomegranates are the ‘Super Fruit” and have been for over 2,000 years.  The closer the form of the juice is to freshly picked, the better.

Here are my Tips

Tip #1

I drink 4 to 5 ounces a day.  For me, it’s expensive at 9 to 10 dollars per bottle. At about 34 oz a bottle, I get 7 to 8 days for each bottle and it costs a little over $1 a day.  The short term study that extended PSA doubling times had men drinking 8 ounces a day, and that did lengthen their PSA doubling times.

Tip #2

I store it in a cool place, on the floor of my pantry. I used to put it all in the fridge, but that was taking up too much space.  I like to keep it out of the light also.  Fresh as possible for me.

Tip #3

I keep the current bottle in the fridge.  Fresh is fresh.  When I am down to just one serving in the fridge bottle, I take out the next one and get it cold in the fridge before I have to open it.

Tip #4

I also drink 2 oz of cranberry juice a day.  Have the pomegranate ready to drink, and then drink the cranberry juice.  Use the pomegranate juice to immediately chase away a very tough to drink cranberry juice.

Cranberry juice has high concentrations of good stuff that fights prostate cancer.  You can learn about that elsewhere on this site.  Pomegranate juice never tastes so good as when you drink it right after cranberry juice.

Tip #5

Re-order Early.  I reorder with 1 and a half bottles still on hand. Sometimes the supplier runs low and there is a wait. Sometimes the bottles break and they are shipped back to the supplier.  I have to call Amazon to get a quick refund and then reorder.  So far, 2 of 8 orders had breakage.  If some gets delivered, and some breaks, then I have been able to keep the good bottles for free, and they resend the complete order again. I started ordering 4, but now I order 6.  It’s a little cheaper, and I have to order less frequently.

What type of cranberry juice do you drink? Is it the normal Ocean Spray brand or did you find some sugar fee juice. Also I just found your your site and started reading it from the beginning. I’m curious, what do you use the distiller for.
    Thanks Doug

    1. I drink Knudsen brand, 100% unsweetened. It comes in a glass bottle. The distiller removes microplastics and other toxins from my tap water. It also removes minerals which are often good for you. So if you go with the distiller, be sure to get your minerals from elsewhere. I eat a lot of vegetables, so I get my minerals from there. May I ask how you came to learn about my site? Thanks !
