{"id":113,"date":"2023-11-24T20:52:32","date_gmt":"2023-11-24T20:52:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iloweredmypsa.com\/?p=113"},"modified":"2025-08-19T22:24:17","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T22:24:17","slug":"tips-and-tricks-for-using-pomegranate-juice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iloweredmypsa.com\/?p=113","title":{"rendered":"Tips and Tricks for Using Pomegranate Juice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B01M8I4G2L?psc=1&amp;ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details\"><\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not from concentrate, 100% pomegranate juice, in glass bottles, with nothing added.&nbsp; Ok, it\u2019s a bit sour.&nbsp; But keep in mind that Pomegranates are the \u2018Super Fruit\u201d and have been for over 2,000 years.&nbsp; The closer the form of the juice is to freshly picked, the better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are my Tips<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip #1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I drink 4 to 5 ounces a day.<\/strong>&nbsp; For me, it\u2019s expensive at 9 to 10 dollars per bottle. At about 34 oz a bottle, I get 7 to 8 days for each bottle and it costs a little over $1 a day.&nbsp; The short term study that extended PSA doubling times had men drinking 8 ounces a day, and that did lengthen their PSA doubling times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip #2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I store it in a cool place, on the floor of my pantry. <\/strong>I used to put it all in the fridge, but that was taking up too much space.&nbsp; I like to keep it out of the light also.&nbsp; Fresh as possible for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip #3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I keep the current bottle in the fridge.&nbsp; Fresh is fresh.<\/strong>&nbsp; When I am down to just one serving in the fridge bottle, I take out the next one and get it cold in the fridge before I have to open it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip #4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I also drink 2 oz of cranberry juice a day.&nbsp; Have the pomegranate ready to drink, and then drink the cranberry juice.&nbsp; Use the pomegranate juice to immediately chase away a very tough to drink cranberry juice.<\/strong>&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cranberry juice has high concentrations of good stuff that fights prostate cancer.&nbsp; You can learn about that elsewhere on this site.&nbsp; Pomegranate juice never tastes so good as when you drink it right after cranberry juice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip #5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Re-order Early.<\/strong>&nbsp; I reorder with 1 and a half bottles still on hand. Sometimes the supplier runs low and there is a wait. Sometimes the bottles break and they are shipped back to the supplier.&nbsp; I have to call Amazon to get a quick refund and then reorder.&nbsp; So far, 2 of 8 orders had breakage.&nbsp; If some gets delivered, and some breaks, then I have been able to keep the good bottles for free, and they resend the complete order again.
